Saint Martin is a small island about the same size as Anguilla and is also a European territorial possession. Unlike Anguilla, the island is divided between two nations, France (Saint Martin) and the Netherlands (Sint Maarten). When we have told people where we are travelling, the most common response is &#8220;where?&#8221; It&#8217;s not surprising, as Anguilla is a country with an area of 35 square miles and a population of just over 15,000 people.
